- Conduct thorough clinical interviews to provide accurate diagnoses
- Develop person-centered treatment plans and deliver evidence-based psychotherapy services
- Evaluate patients’ biopsychosocial needs through comprehensive assessments
- Make referrals to appropriate providers and community-based resources
- Participate actively as a member of patients’ care teams and coordinate care with team members
- Provide evidence-based individual psychotherapy
- Complete appropriate referrals and coordinate care with treatment teams
- Evaluate assessment data and accurately diagnose patients
- Assist patients in accessing community-based resources
- Collaborate with patients and identified supports to develop measurable, person-centered treatment plans

- Contact third-party payers to ensure service authorization

- Serve as co-signer/supervisor for trainees as needed
- Respond professionally and promptly to team communications and patient inquiries
- Provide and receive constructive feedback
- Maintain compliance with supervision, licensure, ethical, confidentiality, safety, and organizational requirements
- Perform other related work as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling
- Licensed to practice Social Work or Professional Counseling in Michigan (LMSW/LPC)
- Two (2) years of experience in behavioral health preferred
- Knowledge of the principles of mental health evidenced based practices
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders such as substance abuse
- Knowledge of community resources and referral agencies
- Knowledge of requirements of third-party payers
- Skill in interviewing and diagnostic evaluation of patients
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, and community partners
- Ability to understand and follow organization policies and procedures
- Compliance with Wayne Health and Department of Psychiatry Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work under high stress conditions for long periods of time
- Maintain a current professional license
- Conforms to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization
- Obeys confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory, and Wayne Health policies
