Summary of Job Duties: The Mental Health Professional at STRIVE will provide direct clinical services, including but not limited to diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention to patients. Clinical services are provided in the office and at assigned schools. Clinician must meet a clinical productivity expectation as set by the supervisor and the department. Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Participates in staff meetings, training, supervision, and continuing education activities as needed to maintain quality and coordination of care, as well as professional licensure and/or certification.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field required.

  • Licensed by the Arkansas Professional Board required (i.e., LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LPE, LAMFT, or LMFT).

  • New Grads Welcome - Must have a provisional license upon application and be

  • able to obtain LMSW, LAC, or LAMFT licensure prior to the official start date.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct clinical services. These include but are not limited to diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention. This includes mandated reporting in compliance with legal and professional standards and guidelines.

  • Provides Psychological Testing, if licensure allows, that is consistent with the permission of their Professional State Licensure.

  • Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures. This may include participation in administrative tasks such as medical record reviews, treatment outcomes projects, and program development projects in addition to direct-service-related documentation.

  • Works with administrative support and utilization management staff as needed to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing review authorization of services, and transfer/referral of clients to other programs as needed.

  • Participates in regularly scheduled and as-needed departmental and program staff meetings, training, and supervision.

  • Participates in continuing education activities as required to maintain professional licensure and/or certification.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
