Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of psychological and social-emotional disorders.
• Some after-school/evening and/or weekend availability for patients (minimum of 5 available appointment slots per week)
• Part-time clinicians expected to have a minimum of 17 available appointment slots per week
• Full-time clinicians expected to have a minimum of 28 available appointment slots per week
• High attention to detail in planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting treatment.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain regular attendance
• Ability to utilize EHR system for scheduling, documentation, and patient record management.

Roots is seeking a Clinical Therapist who is passionate about helping patients with a range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders improve their emotional regulation capacities and improve overall social-emotional, relational, and behavioral functioning. We have a particular need for hiring a clinical therapist who specializes in working with adolescent and adult women who present with anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as a clinical therapist who specializes in working with adolescent and adult men experiencing trauma, neurodiversity, or addiction challenges.

General Requirements

• Master of Science in Psychology, Master of Clinical Social Work, Master of Arts in Counseling, or other related degree
• Licensed by the State of Michigan

Roots Qualifications

• Specialized training in trauma/psychosomatic treatment or related specialty areas (such as EMDR, TBRI, somatic psychotherapy, etc.)
• Experience working with challenging populations/disorders/diagnoses
• Commitment to interdisciplinary work, recognizing the importance and value of a holistic treatment approach
