Job summary

Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Clinical Therapist for outpatient services. The role supports individuals facing mental health, behavioral health, and substance use challenges in a busy outpatient setting.

Eligible LMSWs, LCSWs, or LPCs licensed in Illinois with 1–3 years of community mental health experience are encouraged to apply; typical work hours are 8:00–4:30 or 9:00–5:30, and the team collaborates with hospitals and clinics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in human services field.
• Licensed in the State of Illinois; limited or full licensure welcomed.
• One to three years of experience, preferably in community mental health.
• Current Illinois LMSW or LPC licensure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, define and coordinate individualized and group therapeutic support in outpatient settings.
• Provide a broad range of therapeutic services to mentally or emotionally disturbed patients.
• Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, referral sources and other professionals affiliated with the facility.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams on diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Plan, direct, define and coordinate individualized and group therapeutic support and services to patient’s with mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse issues in an outatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provides a broad range of therapeutic and psychiatric social work services to mentally or emotionally disturbed patients.
• Acts as a liaison with hospitals, clinics, referral sources, and other medical professionals/centers affiliated with the facility.
• Collaborates with psychiatric and interdisciplinary teams in diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Assess relative, cognitive, behavioral or emotional problems.
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications or Skill Required: Master's degree in human services field. Must be licensed in the State of Illiniois; limited or full licensure welcomed.

Experience: One-three years of experience or related experience, preferably in community mental health.

Licenses, Certifications, registrations: Current State of Illinois LMSW (Licensed Master's Social Work) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).
