Job summary

Universal Health Services' Schoolhouse Counseling Center, a division of Hartgrove Hospital, is seeking a Clinical Therapist to perform initial intake assessments, provide individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults, and develop treatment plans to guide clinical care.

The role involves maintaining a clinical caseload, coordinating with administrative staff for scheduling, and ensuring proper documentation and billing in a compliant outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Education: M.A / M.S. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology or MSW, is required
• Experience: One year clinical experience within an inpatient/outpatient/school-based setting; the one year can be a training experience as well
• Licensure/Certification: LPC/LSW or LCPC/LCSW in Illinois preferred
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of Hospital safety policy and procedures; crisis and behavioral management; age-specific growth and development

Responsibilities

• Perform initial intake assessments for new clients entering the program
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions for children, adolescents and adults in the clinic setting
• Develop initial and updated therapy treatment plans to guide clinical treatment
• Maintain a clinical caseload and coordinate with administrative staff for scheduling
• Maintain and submit appropriate documentation as well as billing submission under the standards of the outpatient services department
• Engage in clinical consultation with other members of the treatment team as indicated
• Ensure adherence with census requirements of the clinic
• Assure compliance with applicable laws pertaining to psychiatric treatments
• Provide a safe, secure, therapeutic and professional environment at all times

As a division of Hartgrove Hospital, the Schoolhouse Counseling Center provides supportive, school- and community-based behavioral health services for students, young adults, and families. Our outpatient network serves communities across the western, southwest, and far south Chicagoland suburbs, with locations in Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Plainfield, Oak Lawn, Blue Island, and Chicago Heights.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Therapist will complete initial intake assessments to new clients entering the program and provide preliminary diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children, adolescents and adults in the clinic setting. Develop initial and updated therapy treatment plans to guide the client's clinical treatment with the practice. Develop and maintain a clinical caseload while working alongside administrative staff for scheduling. Maintain and submit appropriate documentation as well as billing submission under the standards of the outpatient services department. Engage in clinical consultation with other members of the treatment team as indicated. Ensure adherence with census requirements of the clinic.
