Job summary

United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) is seeking an entry‑level Clinical Technologist to support patient flow and perform clinical tasks after training. You’ll work collaboratively in a fast‑paced clinic environment, handling rooming, vitals, documentation, and basic procedures under supervision.

After 4–6 weeks of training you’ll perform responsibilities independently, maintain HIPAA standards, and contribute to a high‑quality patient experience across our Texas clinics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire (AHA preferred).
• Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Strong communication and reliability in a patient-care setting.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care Support: assist with patient rooming, verifications, and vitals documentation; update status in eCW.
• Procedure Support: prepare exam rooms, assist in sterile/non-sterile procedures, assist in surgeries; follow CDC/OSHA guidelines.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Technologist, you’ll be a critical member of our team, supporting patient flow and engaging in various clinical support tasks. After completing your initial training (4-6 weeks), you’ll perform all job responsibilities independently with confidence. This entry‑level role is ideal for MAs and PCTs looking to expand their skills and take on new challenges in a fast‑paced clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care Support: Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation. Use eCW to update patient status and maintain smooth patient flow.
• Procedure Support: Prepare exam rooms, support sterile and non‑sterile procedures, assist in surgical procedures, and follow CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and cleanliness.
• Documentation & Inventory: Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked.
• Compliance & Confidentiality: Uphold all HIPAA standards, follow UVVC's Core Values and Standards of Conduct, and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting
• Certification: BLS certification required within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association preferred)
• Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program
• Strong communication skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Dependable, punctual, and knowledgeable in medical terminology
