Job summary

SpecialtyCare seeks an Autotransfusion Clinical Technician to join our healthcare team in Fremont, CA. You will be trained to operate autotransfusion equipment, purify the patient’s blood, and return it to the patient, supporting cell salvage and related therapies to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Must live within 30 minutes of contracted hospitals and be able to work flexible hours.
• Must be on-call and able to travel to assigned facilities.
• Must complete on-the-job training including certification and company education modules.

Responsibilities

• Train to operate autotransfusion equipment that purifies the patient’s blood and returns it to the patient.
• Support autotransfusion and cell salvage services, including PRP and related therapies.
• Provide reliable, high-quality patient care with a focus on safety and accuracy.
• Maintain documentation and participate in call rotations including weekends/holidays.

Autotransfusion, also called cell salvage, is the process ofcollecting shed blood, separating the red cells from the plasma, washing thered cells, and re-administering them to the patient.

As aClinical Technician in Autotransfusion with SpecialtyCare, you will be trainedto run the equipment that purifies the patient’s blood and then returns theblood to the patient. Recycling the patient’s own blood, instead of transfusingdonor blood, has been shown to reduce recovery time and prevents the adverseeffects that can occur with donor blood. We also provide cell-based therapies,such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Must live within 30 minutes of our contracted hospitals, able to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation including weekends/holidays.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-call.
• Must be able to successfully complete on the job training including certification and company sponsored education modules.
