Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist role as specified in the job description.
  • Maintain friendly, professional relations with all employees, building confidence and credibility.
  • Provide clinical and administrative support, adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Conduct activities consistent with department expectations and compliant with regulations like HIPAA.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, triage patients, observe and chart patient conditions, assist with lab testing, and support providers during procedures.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment, assist with virtual care, ensure accurate patient charting, and coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations.
  • Perform federal and non-federal exams, maintain cleanliness, and support a respectful, confidential work environment.
  • Complete mandatory compliance training and perform other duties as assigned.

Secondary:

  • Assist with clerical tasks, verify insurance, and handle communication with patients and staff.

Supporting Telehealth:

  • Prepare patient charts via virtual communication, assist with follow-ups, and manage related administrative tasks.

Additional Requirements:

Level 1: High School Diploma or equivalent, current CPR license, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Level 2-4: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with current CPR; experience requirements increase with level, ranging from 4 to 8 years.

Additional duties include scheduling, ordering, training, and other responsibilities as assigned.

*Must obtain and activate CPR license within 7 days of hire.

Experience & Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred; active, verifiable license or certification required; TB and IV certification within 60 days of employment if applicable.
