Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a clinic setting, preferably in primary care.

Responsibilities

Clinical Techs support patient care under supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding service, maintain a compassionate atmosphere, and respond promptly to patient condition changes. Key duties include:

  1. Ensuring compliance with regulations like HIPAA.
  2. Preparing exam and treatment rooms.
  3. Triaging patients, checking vitals, performing blood draws, injections, etc.
  4. Monitoring and reporting patient condition changes.
  5. Performing DOT, BAT, and drug screen exams.
  6. Assisting with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  7. Maintaining supplies and assisting with procedures.
  8. Supporting virtual medicine services.
  9. Facilitating referrals and pre-authorizations.
  10. Maintaining accurate, timely patient charts.
  11. Upholding cleanliness and organization.
  12. Providing clinical and administrative support, adhering to policies and core values.
  13. Fostering positive relationships with patients and staff.
  14. Maintaining confidentiality and completing mandatory training.
  15. Performing physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as required.
  16. Performing duties of the Patient Care Specialist as needed.
  17. Performing other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements

Medical Assistant: Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinic setting, preferably primary care.

Nurse (LPN or RN): Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in primary care.

Education and License Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. No specific license required, but relevant licenses include ARRT, X-Ray licenses, RN, LPN, or Medical Assistant certifications.
