Job summary

Artemis Solutions is seeking a Clinical Systems Manager to lead a team of Clinical Systems Analysts within a Central Kentucky healthcare organization. The role focuses on managing clinical information systems and ensuring they support patient care, clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.

The successful candidate will direct system implementations, improvements, and education efforts, partnering with clinicians, leadership, and vendors while maintaining documentation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of information systems management experience.
  • Experience with healthcare information systems, EHRs and/or practice management systems.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows in a patient-care environment.
  • Experience with data analysis, project management, workflow design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Ability to partner with clinical teams, executives, IS professionals, and outside vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical, information systems, or related field.
  • No specific certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Clinical Systems Analysts, including scheduling, department coverage, coaching, and performance management.
  • Oversee the implementation, management, optimization, and ongoing support of clinical information systems and applications.
  • Partner closely with clinical departments, physicians, and healthcare leadership to ensure technology supports patient-care and operational needs.
  • Analyze clinical processes, systems, and workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and system utilization.
  • Lead healthcare technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, user groups, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent clinical systems projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Monitor supported clinical applications for performance, utilization, and system alerts.
  • Coordinate education and training related to supported clinical applications and maintain current educational materials.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of projects, processes, procedures, workflows, and system-related initiatives.
  • Participate in organizational committees and initiatives where information technology can enhance clinical care and healthcare operations.
  • Promote and follow appropriate information security protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and technologies within healthcare information systems and clinical technology.

The Opportunity

Artemis Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a Central Kentucky healthcare organization for an experienced Clinical Systems Manager to join its Information Services team.

This is a healthcare-focused IT leadership position responsible for managing clinical information systems and leading a team of Clinical Systems Analysts who support technology used throughout the patient-care environment.

The Clinical Systems Manager will serve as an important connection point between Information Services, clinical departments, physicians, organizational leadership, and technology vendors, ensuring clinical applications and EHR-related systems effectively support patient care, clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, and organizational goals.

We are specifically looking for someone who understands the unique demands of technology within a healthcare environment and can combine that knowledge with strong people leadership, project management, systems implementation, and process improvement skills.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Clinical Systems Analysts, including scheduling, department coverage, coaching, and performance management.

  • Participate in organizational committees and initiatives where information technology can enhance clinical care and healthcare operations.
  • Promote and follow appropriate information security protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and technologies within healthcare information systems and clinical technology.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of healthcare information systems experience, clinical systems knowledge, leadership ability, technical understanding, and strong communication skills.

  • 3+ years of information systems management experience preferred
  • Experience working with healthcare information systems, EHRs and/or practice management systems strongly preferred
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and the role technology plays within a patient-care environment
  • Experience with data analysis, project management, workflow design, application development, testing, and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Ability to partner effectively with clinical teams, physicians, executives, Information Services professionals, and outside vendors
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer-service and team-building skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar collaboration platforms preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a medical, information systems, or related field.
  • No specific certification is required.

Some travel between organizational locations may be required.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a Central Kentucky healthcare organization. Additional location and organization details will be shared with qualified candidates during the recruitment process.
