An opportunity has arisen, within the Radiology Department, for a Clinical Support Worker to work alongside our Radiographers within the CT/MR Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
This is a full time 37.5 hours post, worked over 7 days.
This positions will provide an exciting challenge for a dynamic and empathetic team player, with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm, who enjoys working within a hospital environment.
The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the Radiology team. The main responsibilities will include receiving our patients into the department on our reception desks, accurately entering patient and examination data in to the Radiology IT system, answering the telephone, responding to queries from patients, GPs and staff and general patient care.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but training can be given.
The hours will be worked over three longer days between 7am and 8:30pm, so flexibility to be able to work longer days, evenings and at the weekend will be required. The successful applicants would also be expected to work on Bank Holidays where these fall on their rostered days.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
