Job summary

Goshen Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Support Staff to help deliver patient care in our North Carolina clinics. You will assist the primary care provider, assess patient vital signs, and process referrals and authorizations while supporting daily operations and front-office tasks.

The ideal candidate holds a NC RN or LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and at least two years of clinical experience. EMR experience and Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• North Carolina RN or LPN license is required and must be current.
• CPR/BLS certification required and must be kept current.
• At least 2 years of RN or LPN clinical experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Basic computer skills are required for office tasks and documentation.

Job description

The Clinical Support Staff at Goshen Medical Center is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The employee will utilize the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

Assist primary care provider

Assess patient vital signs

Provide assistance with patient referrals and authorizations

Assist in coverage of additional Goshen Medical Center facilities with daily operations as required

Medical office administration (e.g. patient check-in, patient check-out, etc.)

Supervision of RN/LPN/CNA/CMA clinical staff, as assigned.

Other assigned duties

Credentials:

North Carolina RN or LPN License

CPR/BLS Certification

Licensure and Certification(s) must be current and must be maintained as a condition of employment.

Clinical Experience & Skills Requirements:

2-years Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse experience in a clinical setting (e.g. health care clinic, hospital, etc.)

Ability to communicated effectively both verbally and in writing

Basic computer skills

Ability to multi-task and provide administrative office assistance if necessary (e.g. answer phones, fax documents, call back patients, etc.)

Preferred Clinical Experience & Skills:

Phlebotomy experience (preferred but not required)

Bilingual (Spanish) (preferred but not required)

Electronic Medical Record experience (preferred but not required)
