Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers' Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Florida, is seeking a per-diem Clinical Support staff to join the treatment team. The role involves conducting groups, supporting therapists, and managing patient caseloads under the Clinical Director's guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field.
• Experience in behavioral/mental health treatment is preferred.
• Ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments and facilitate groups.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews with adequate preparation and patient issue understanding.
• Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial.
• Conducts groups.
• Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Cover client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
• Assist Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
• Assist client in managing outside stressors.
• Maintain clinical records per program policies and licensing requirements.
• Assist with discharge planning.

As part of the Clinical team, theClinical Supportstaff is pivotal in serving individuals with primary substance use or mental-health disorders. This role involves conducting groups, assisting the primary Therapist in managing patient caseloads, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, and supporting various patient care activities under the guidance of the attending Clinical Director(s).

• Location: Lake Worth, FL (On-site).
• Compensation: $25- $26hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
• Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial.
• Conducts groups.
• Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Responsible for covering client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
• Assists Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
• Assists client in managing outside stressors.
• Maintains clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Assists Therapist and Case Manger with discharge planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.

Preferences

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
• ActiveFlorida LAMFT, LASW or ACSW.
• CADC or SUDDC.
• Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health treatment.

Abilities and Skills

• Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding client confidentiality.
• Proficiency in group facilitation.
• Skilled in crisis intervention, including de-escalation and suicide risk assessment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
