Job summary

Axess Family Services is seeking a Clinical Support Staff member to assist health center providers and ensure high-quality patient care. The role includes pre-visit planning, patient rooming, vital signs, and documentation using the electronic health record system.

The ideal candidate will have nursing or medical assisting credentials, CPR/BLS certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills, with comfort in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program, or certification as a medical assistant.
• Holds and maintains an unrestricted LPN license in the State of Ohio or holds a certified medical assisting certification.
• Holds and maintains BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Two to five years of community health experience preferred.
• Computer competency with email and internet usage.
• Experience with electronic health record technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-visit planning at least one day in advance of each scheduled patient appointment.
• Assist providers with patient visits, including rooming patients, documenting history, and recording vital signs.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications or procedures as directed by the provider.
• Provide counseling and health education to patients for continuity of care.
• Follow OSHA regulations for hazardous materials.
