Job Summary:

  • Serve as a multi-functional member of the patient care team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Support the RN staff through regularly organizing and facilitating two or more functional roles of the patient care plan of which may include the following: Nurse Technician, Unit Secretary, EKG Technician, and Monitor Technician.
  • Accurately and promptly communicate with the nursing staff, patient, family, and patient care team as required.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

License/Certifications:Can include any of the following:

  • Medical Assistant, Registered
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Will also need to be CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) certified upon hire or within 60 days

Experience

  • One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred

Skills

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
