Job summary

Hughston is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or experienced professional to support patient care in a multi-site clinic. You will collect histories, take vitals, document in EMR, and assist with procedures and DME devices. The role requires HIPAA knowledge, BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with CMA preferred. The clinic offers a collaborative environment across departments and strong clinical support to physicians.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification or 1 year relevant experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and healthcare field.
• BLS certification required, valid driver’s license with satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Float between departments and sites to provide support.
• Take vitals at check-in and collect health history.
• Enter tests and procedures as ordered; document in EMR.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures and DME devices.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms; sterilize equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling, pre-certs, and insurance verification.
• Communicate patient restrictions and instructions clearly.
