Job Description – Clinical Support Liaison - Pharmacy Department

Position Title: Clinical Support Liaison for the IM2 program.

Location: Insight Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois

Position Summary

Clinical Support Liaisons assist in the activities of the IM2 program under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Candidates are recommended to obtain pharmacy technician licensure within 1 month of hire. Duties include:

  • Marketing the IM2 program to providers, including presentations and sharing information about the CDTM agreement.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team on promotional materials and outreach.
  • Calling patients for telehealth enrollment and updating program trackers.
  • Performing additional projects as assigned.

When licensed, technicians may also be trained in pharmacy operations following standard procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient, physician, and nurse education.
  • Retrieve drug information accurately and timely.
  • Obtain pharmacokinetic data to support medication regimens.
  • Assist with newsletters, notices, and departmental policies.
  • Manage time, tasks, and resources effectively.
  • Maintain professional conduct and customer focus.
Contacts

Interact with healthcare professionals, staff, patients, and visitors.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged stationary or movement throughout the facility.
  • Lift or transport medication and IV carts (up to 25 pounds).
  • Use of communication devices and computers.
  • Must be alert, healthy, and able to travel within the hospital.
Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Pharmacy Technician license within 1 month of hire.
  • Certification as per state law.
  • Effective communication skills and healthcare teamwork aptitude.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, sick patients, and emergency situations.
  • Irregular hours and work pressure possible.
