Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Materials Handler to inventory, deliver, and replenish medical/surgical supplies across clinical areas. You will use handheld inventory tools, confirm stock levels, and communicate with staff to prevent shortages.

You will maintain MMIS entries, monitor expiration dates, and support a clean, organized work environment while ensuring accurate documentation and timely replenishment to patient care areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Uses handheld inventory module to assess supply needs across approx. 300 items in up to 8 clinical areas.
• Replenishes all supply items daily and communicates shortages or errors to supervision and clinical areas.
• Ensures MMIS entries are accurate and maintains stock tracking and expiration date validation.
• Communicates with clinical staff to address service concerns related to materials management.
• Maintains organized work areas and proper stock rotation and storage.
