Job summary

Northeast Health Services, part of Transformations Care Network, seeks Supervising Clinicians to supervise unlicensed clinicians and provide therapy in outpatient settings, in-person and via telehealth. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with clinic teams to promote clinical excellence.

Responsibilities include weekly supervision, review of supervisee documents, and coordinating with prescribers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from applicable program.
• Valid independent clinical license in the state(s) where services are being provided.
• Meet minimum post licensure experience requirements for supervisor as determined by licensing Board.
• Meet all Licensing Board requirements to provide clinical supervision (e.g. registration, state required coursework, years of experience, etc.).
• Knowledge of state/federal rules and regulations.
• Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records.
• Strong commitment to professional Code of Ethics.
• Understanding of privacy and HIPAA requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team, especially in stressful situations.
• Training in clinical supervision. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of current standards, principles, and practices of psychiatric care. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, methods, issues, and approaches in mental health. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver a blend of clinician supervision and therapy in person and/or via telehealth depending on client and supervisee needs.
• Provide individual and/or group supervision weekly to unlicensed clinicians. Licensure supervision is to be held according to state regulations, payor contracts and agency supervision policy.
• Maintain board registration and other regulatory requirements needed to provide licensure supervision where required.
• Review clinical documentation of supervisee, which includes diagnosis, treatment plans, session notes and related documents.
• Complete and maintain record of supervision notes and supervision agreement in dedicated file and record sessions in EHR.
• Assess clinicians across core competency areas; provide regular measurement and feedback to clinicians.
• Identify and monitor areas for performance improvement and report concerns regarding clinical skills, ethics or compliance to Clinic Director.
• Report on any suspicion of fraud, waste and abuse to Clinic Director.
• Complete required training and maintain all licensing requirement to maintain independent licensure.
• Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy in an outpatient setting via in person care and telehealth when appropriate.
• Maintain an appropriate caseload consistent with productivity expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR within 48–72 hours.
• Communicate with clients and colleagues professionally via phone, EHR messaging or other approved means.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all confidentiality requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
