Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Telemetry Charge Registered Nurse to oversee nursing operations on the telemetry unit, coordinate staff assignments, and ensure continuous cardiac monitoring is safely conducted during night shifts.

Candidates must hold a current RN license with BCLS; ACLS within 30 days of hire; BSN preferred. This full-time, 12-hour night position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BCLS (AHA) on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff Coordination: assign nursing staff to patients based on acuity and workload.
• Unit Supervision: monitor unit operations during shift for workflow efficiency and safety.
• Direct Patient Care: provide hands-on care for high-acuity patients and administer meds/treatments.
• Telemetry Monitoring: interpret cardiac telemetry strips and initiate appropriate actions.
• Problem-Solving: serve as the go-to clinician for issues, staff concerns, or shortages during shift.

A Tele Charge Registered Nurseoversees nursing operations onourtelemetry unit, coordinating staff assignments, managing patient care, and ensuring continuous cardiac monitoring is safely conducted. They serve as both a clinical expert and team leader, handling emergencies,facilitatingcommunication, and supporting both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Staff Coordination:assign nursing staff to patients based on patient acuity, nurse experience, and current workload
• Unit Supervision:monitoroverall operations of the telemetry unit during the shift, ensuring workflow efficiency and patient safety
• Direct Patient Care:provide hands-on care for high-acuity or deteriorating patients when needed, including administering medications and treatments
• Telemetry Monitoring:interpret cardiac telemetry strips,identifiesarrhythmias, andinitiatesappropriate interventionsor escalations
• Problem-Solving:act as the go-to person for clinical issues, staff concerns, or resource shortages during the shift

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
