Qualifications

Clinical Supervisor - Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Program

Salary Range: $66,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

Position Summary:

Are you ready to lead our dedicated teams within the Gateways programs located at our Walnut & Western Hills locations to make a direct impact on recovery in our community? As our Clinical Supervisor, you will champion clinical excellence and oversee the daily delivery of our outpatient substance use treatment services. In this role, you will act as the program's clinical expert, providing direct guidance, supervision, and mentorship to our licensed and clinical staff. You will ensure our care consistently meets the highest standards of evidence-based practice, licensing, and accreditation, helping us build a supportive environment where both our clients and our clinicians thrive.

Position Requires Ohio Independent Clinical Licensure (LISW, LPCC)

Position Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing the clinical delivery of services in accordance with the contract, licensing, certification, accreditation and agency standards
  • Use approved evidence-based models to drive program development, implementation and fidelity to best practices
  • Perform case review and clinical oversight within scope of license
  • Monitor key indicators that impact financial outcome and performance
  • Maintain clinical and programmatic workflow and delegate effectively
  • Work with Associate Director and others on clinical and programmatic initiatives
  • Drive collaboration and cooperation between service lines to ensure service integration
  • Direct and supervise clinical staff by ensuring training needs are met and regular supervision occurs
  • Ensure quality clinical documentation in accordance with contract, regulatory and agency requirements
  • Assure compliance with: site audits, peer reviews and agency Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Generate outcome data and use for improvement
  • Monitor and complete all reports according to contract, licensing, certification, accreditation standards
  • Follow protocols in responding to, reporting, and resolving unusual incidents
  • Mitigate risk using crisis intervention skills and anticipate/prevent crisis
  • Provide clinical supervision to direct service staff by assuring that training and supervision occur
  • Provide in-depth assessment services and diagnostic summaries; assess and select appropriate counseling methods to maximize treatment process and outcomes, both individual and group
  • Provide individual and group counseling for substance abuse and mental health clients
  • Will participate in the hiring process of all reporting staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based models in specific area of expertise

  • Remain current in general knowledge of psychotropic medications, side effects and DSM-V diagnoses
  • Ability to use electronic service documentation system effectively

Job Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license and current auto insurance

Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

  • Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Infrequent standing and walking. Constant sitting.
  • Gross Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling.
  • Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Frequent to constant talking and listening.
