Clinical Supervisor – Occupational Therapy

The Clinical Supervisor – Therapy ensures that patient care is coordinated and managed appropriately. It is a leadership position that oversees clinicians providing patient care at patients' residences, serving as the first point of contact for field clinicians to ensure timely support.

Hybrid Field & Office Work

• 2 days in the Sacramento Office
• 3 days in the field: 12 patient visits each week (supervisory visits of field clinicians)
• Coverage area: Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo counties

What you'll do

• Provide field oversight of clinicians delivering care and treatment at patients’ residences, including performance evaluations and hiring.
• Handle incoming calls in a timely manner; follow up to meet internal and external customer needs.
• Coordinate training and educational programs for field nurses to improve clinical outcomes and competencies.
• Assess staff learning needs; formulate specific plans and goals for the next evaluation period; perform administrative call duties; serve as a role model and resource for staff.
• Act as the first point of contact for field clinicians to assist with patient care escalations.
• Coordinate at least bi‑weekly case conferences with the clinical team to discuss patients' progress and revise care plans.
• Review and evaluate each case, reviewing services provided by clinicians, conferences, and records; discuss and verify impressions; instruct clinicians to promote effective performance and quality home‑care delivery; be available during operating hours for assistance.
• Review patients’ clinical diagnoses, medications, procedures, and clinical course.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long‑term therapeutic goals, setting priorities, and developing a plan of care.

To Be a Success

• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation therapy department or program.
• Home health experience highly preferred.
• Degree from a baccalaureate or master’s program in an applicable discipline approved by an accredited organization.
• Current California Occupational Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• All licenses and certifications must remain current at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $143,000 – $163,000 per year plus a generous quarterly bonus. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
