Job summary

The People Concern seeks a Clinical Supervisor for the Kensington Campus in Lancaster, CA. This onsite role trains and mentors clinicians, ensuring high-quality, integrated mental health services for the HSSP and Interim Housing programs.

Requirements include an active CA license (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC), 2+ years in mental health and homelessness services, Medi-Cal knowledge, plus strong supervision and documentation skills. Competitive salary with full benefits; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Active, current license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC registered with the CA BBS
• Minimum two years’ experience working with those living with mental illness and/or substance addictions, and homelessness post-licensure
• Strong working knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and requirements
• Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications
• Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills
• Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision
• Able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to unlicensed staff in adherence with BBS and Medi-Cal requirements
• Provide supervision, training and review of clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans
• Assist supervisees in ensuring productivity goals with 65% direct service time across programs
• Oversee effective referral and coordination of services with social services providers
• Oversee the screening and intake process and maintain database
• Help develop, streamline, and update the intake process to provide timely and effective services
• Monitor program enrollment and ensure delivery of services to all participants
• Provide leadership in clinical crises at housing sites
• Participate in clinical quality assurance and support training and reporting
• Attend meetings and assist with caseload distribution and staff development

Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor provides training, mentoring and clinical supervision to the HSSP and Interim Housing clinicians to ensure the provision of high-quality, integrated clinical services at The People Concern.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to unlicensed, clinical staff in adherence with BBS and Medi-Cal requirements
• Provide supervision, training and review of clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and any other clinical documentation as it arises in the client record in adherence with Medi-Cal and DMH requirements
• Assist supervisees in ensuring productivity goals and outcomes are achieved including a minimum of 65% of staff time being in direct service provision across programs
• Oversee effective referral and coordination of services with social services providers to ensure clinically-appropriate services are provided to clients whom are working with supervisees
• Oversee the screening and intake process and maintain appropriate database
• Help develop, streamline, and update the intake process to provide timely and effective services to members.
• Monitor program enrollment and ensure delivery of services to all HSSP participants
• Provide leadership in clinical crises, including but not limited to crisis assessment at Project-Based housing sites.
• Participate in The People Concern’s clinical quality assurance program and ensure the implementation of quality improvement activities within the program to ensure ongoing quality outcomes
• Attend meetings and conferences upon request and prepare a verbal and/or written summary to supervisor
• Assist Program Director in distributing caseloads for appropriate and effective matching between members, clinicians, and advocates
• Assist Program Director in developing and delivering the day to day and overall training needs of the staff
• Assist Program Director in completing required reporting to LA County Department of Mental Health as outlined by contract requirements
• Assist Program Director in ensuring all member paperwork and data collection is complete, timely, accurate, and current in agency records and electronic databases
• Provide input, evaluation, and updates regarding programs as requested

Qualifications:

• On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and occasionally lift or carry up to 35 pounds
• Field (may need to travel) and indoor office environment
• Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
• Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
• May need to bend, stoop, twist , and sit throughout the day
