Job summary

Iron Wellness and Recovery Center in Toms River, NJ, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead a dedicated counseling team in an opioid treatment and outpatient counseling setting. You will support clinical excellence, supervise staff, and help shape recovery-focused services.

Required: active New Jersey LCADC license, CCS, minimum 3 years in substance abuse, 2 years post-licensure and supervisory experience. We offer a competitive salary of $80,000, benefits, PTO, and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey LCADC license
• CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) required
• Qualified clinical supervisor under NJ Alcohol and Drug Counselor Regulations (N.J.S.A. 45:2D-1 et seq.)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a substance abuse treatment program
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or human services experience
• Strong knowledge of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions
• Understanding of psychotropic medications and behavioral health treatment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong documentation and organizational abilities
• Ability to support multidisciplinary teams and complex client needs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and oversight to counseling staff
• Assign caseloads and assist with staff scheduling
• Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Conduct supervision meetings, staff training, and professional mentoring
• Support counselors with crisis intervention and complex case management
• Oversee admissions, discharge planning, and continuity of care processes
• Ensure treatment plans address clinical, behavioral, psychosocial, and medical needs
