Position

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are designed to address areas of medical necessity and may occur in settings including CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
• Develop and maintain treatment plans
• Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month
• Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths
• Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior
• Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
• Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
• Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols
• Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols
• Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
• Work primarily within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation
• Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress towards treatment goals and adjust protocols accordingly
• Update treatment plans at least monthly based on patient response
• Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month (supervisory + therapy)
• Communicate treatment response to caregivers and payers
• Coordinate care with other professionals
• Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
• Include caregivers as part of the treatment team with consistent Caregiver Collaboration meetings
• Engage with payers for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews)
• Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence
• Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times
• Collaborate with center leadership (Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator Technician, Behavior Technician Leads)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field required
• Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required
• Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Strong time management in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook; comfortable with new computer systems and iPads
• Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets
• Willingness to work in various locations (center, home, etc.)
• Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
• Must pass tuberculosis test; English proficiency required

Work Environment

Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Work environments may be indoors or outdoors and may involve moving between locations. Environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to work with patients in floor seating and various environments
• Move frequently to gather materials and respond to patient movements
• Position and assist patients, including bending, kneeling, and blocking unsafe movements
• Use visual tracking to monitor patient movements and surroundings
• Sometimes assist with safely blocking aggressive behavior
• Teach and model vocal and motor skills as appropriate
• Be able to lift up to 30 lbs
