POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing the implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are designed to address areas of medical necessity and may occur in various settings including the CARD center, the patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
• Develop and maintain treatment plans
• Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month
• Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths
• Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior
• Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
• Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
• Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols
• Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols
• Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
• Primarily work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation
• Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress towards treatment goals and adjust treatment protocols based on data
• Update treatment plans at least once per month, based on patient response
• Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours
• Communicate treatment response to caregivers and payers
• Coordinate care with other professionals
• Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
• Include caregivers as part of the treatment team with ongoing caregiver collaboration meetings
• Engage with payers for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews) as needed
• Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence
• Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements
• Collaborate with center leadership and other stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field required
• Certification as a Behavior Analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required
• Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Environments may be indoors or outdoors and may require moving between locations. Work may involve exposure to loud noises at times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Be able to work with patients seated on the floor or in chairs; move frequently to gather materials and provide instruction
• Occasionally move to assist or block movements; respond to aggressive behaviors as needed
• Be able to lift up to 30 lbs while assisting patients
