Open Sky Community Services’ Bridge Counseling Center is seeking an Outpatient Services Clinical Supervisor in Worcester, MA. This role blends direct client care with clinical staff supervision to ensure effective, evidence-based treatment and compliant documentation.

You will supervise licensed and pre-licensed clinicians, oversee crisis response, and collaborate with psychiatric prescribers to coordinate integrated care and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Clinical Master's Degree with LICSW/LCSW/LMHC licensure and independent licensure with 2.5+ years supervision.
• Expertise in treating mental health disorders including substance use and dual diagnosis.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Open Sky is seeking an Outpatient Services Clinical Supervisor who will direct and supervise staff activities, lead team meetings, and provide clinical direction for individual cases within our outpatient services program. This role involves both providing direct outpatient care to clients and offering clinical leadership and supervision to the team, ensuring the implementation of effective treatment plans and fostering the professional development of our outpatient clinical staff.

Schedule

Minimum two shifts, 11:00 AM-7:00 PM, to best meet the acuity and needs of the program while ensuring adequate clinical coverage and staff support.

What You'll Do

• Establish, collaborate, and maintain relationships with applicable Coordination Entities, Emergency Service Providers, outpatient clinics, and other providers/entities to share information and ensure that the needs of the person are fully met.
• Provide individual and group supervision to clinical staff, ensuring adherence to agency standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the professional development of clinical staff within Outpatient Services through regular and ad hoc supervision.
• Provide crisis intervention assistance to people served through direct intervention or warm handoffs and referrals as appropriate.
• Oversee the development and implementation of Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans.
• Build relationships with Persons and develop shared understanding of Persons' goals and the steps necessary to achieve goals.
• Participate in On-Call rotation and critical incident review process.
• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed clinicians.
• Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical documentation for quality and compliance.
• Support staff in complex clinical decision-making, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and care planning.
• Promote evidence-based practices and professional development.
• Maintain an ongoing caseload of a minimum of 10 weekly clients
• Provide administrative supervision responsibilities such as hiring input, onboarding, training, performance feedback, corrective action, and staff retention support.
• Monitor productivity, access, and service delivery expectations, including caseloads, utilization, appointment availability, no-show trends, and timely follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with payer, licensing, accreditation, and agency requirements, including authorizations, medical necessity, treatment-plan timelines, and documentation standards.
• Oversee intake, assignment, discharge, and transition workflows to support appropriate level of care and continuity of care.
• Partner with psychiatric prescribers and nursing staff to support integrated care, medication management coordination, and communication around clinical changes.
• Review and respond to risk-management issues, including mandated reporting, duty to warn/protect, hospitalization coordination, incident reporting, and follow-up after critical events.
• Use data and quality indicators to improve program performance, such as engagement, outcomes, discharge reasons, hospitalizations, client satisfaction, and referral patterns.
• Support program development and workflow improvement, including group offerings, referral pathways, clinical protocols, and service expansion.
• Ensure culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centered care is consistently reflected in supervision, documentation, and service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison with internal Open Sky programs and external referral partners to support coordinated outpatient access and continuity of care.
• Provide backup clinical consultation or coverage when urgent issues arise or when assigned clinicians are unavailable.
• Ensure staff practice within scope of licensure and credentialing requirements, especially for independently licensed, pre-licensed, and unlicensed clinicians

Experience & Qualifications

• Clinical Master’s Degree and (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC), required. Independent licensure with 2.5+ years of licensure to supervise multiple disciplines, required.
• Expertise in treatment of individuals with mental health disorders, including knowledge of substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment, required.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, highly desired.

Pay Range

$44.71-$44.71 per hour
