Job summary

ChildNet Youth and Family Services is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for the Behavioral Health Services program in Riverside and Palm Desert, CA. The supervisor will train and supervise clinicians, ensure compliance with professional standards, and maintain a caseload of at least two clients.

Responsibilities include clinical oversight, documentation reviews, and collaboration with other department supervisors. Must have a Master’s in a mental health field and CA licensure (LMFT or LCSW).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health field required.
• Current CA licensure as LMFT or LCSW required.
• At least two years of post-licensure experience preferred.
• Must maintain compliance with Board of Behavioral Sciences education/training requirements.
• Must maintain a caseload of at least 2 cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of all clinicians on the team, including clinical and administrative duties.
• Provide at least one hour of individual supervision weekly and one two-hour group supervision weekly (two groups if group size >8).
• Review clinical paperwork to ensure standards compliance (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.).
• Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure chart compliance.
• Ensure timely documentation deadlines and productivity.
• Provide emergency coverage for client emergencies 24/7.
• Deliver initial and ongoing clinician training.
• Serve as liaison between admin and clinical staff.
• Develop a yearly supervision plan with clinicians.
• Maintain a caseload of at least 2 cases.

Job description

ChildNet Youth and Family Services is currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Program located in Riverside and Palm Desert, CA.

Inland Empire Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides comprehensive mental health services, including individual/group therapy for at-risk children and their families. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the ongoing training and supervision of the clinicians on their team. This position will also serve as a liaison between administrative staff and clinical staff. The Clinical Supervisor must maintain compliance with education and training requirements set forth by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. The Clinical Supervisor will also be required to maintain a caseload of at least two cases.

Clinical Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide direct supervision of all clinicians assigned to the team, including oversight of clinical and administrative duties.
• Provide at least one hour of individual supervision with all clinicians weekly. Provide at least one two-hour group supervision to supervisees weekly. If group size exceeds 8 members, the Clinical Supervisor will have two groups weekly.
• Review paperwork for clinicians, including but not limited to assessments, treatment plan, medical necessity, letters, progress notes, outcome measures, and clinical documentation, to maintain agency, DBH, and evidence-based practice standards if applicable.
• Collaborate with other ChildNet department supervisors and their staff to ensure clinical chart compliance.
• Provide oversight to clinicians in maintaining documentation deadlines and productivity requirements.
• Ensure emergency coverage for client emergencies 24 hours/day, 7days/week.
• Provide initial and on-going training for clinicians.
• Serve as liaison between administrative staff and clinical staff.
• Develop a collaborative annual supervision plan with all clinicians.
• Maintain a caseload of at least 2 cases.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

The Clinical Supervisor shall possess:

• Master’s degree in a mental health-related field of study; AND
• Currently licensed in the State of California as an LMFT or LCSW.
• At least two (2) years of experience post-licensure.

All offers of employment with ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. are contingent upon a post-offer, pre-hire medical clearance with an occupational physical, tuberculosis screening, and a negative drug test. A criminal background clearance which consists of fingerprinting through the Dept. of Justice/FBI/Child Abuse Index Search is required. An essential function of this position does require driving. Underwriting requirements of this agency include keeping a valid California driver’s license, valid auto liability insurance on file, and maintaining a good driving record while employed.

Salary range; $81,300-$83,300 Annualized *

*Pay rate will be determined based on qualifications, degree, experience, bilingual ability, region, and/or a combination of those factors.
