Position Description:

(D.I.V.E.) Opportunities STRTP services young woman ages of 12-17 and Non-Minor Dependents (NMDS) with a variety of diagnosis. Potential candidates must be trained and/or licensed to treat SED youth who present with a variety of psychosocial, behavioral and mental health disorders. The right candidate is empathetic, responsible, and has a desire to help adolescents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carries out the mission of Opportunities STRTP, as well as the treatment philosophies and approaches as they pertain to day-to-day operations of a residential living environment.
• Coordinates the day-to-day operations of clinic/program services.
• Supervises a multi-disciplinary staff and consults with staff regularly regarding techniques used, case progress, and related matters for the purpose of promoting and evaluating professional development and assuring quality of care, as well as reviewing work in progress.
• Conducts regular case conferences with clinicians, interns, and mental health rehabilitation specialists for supervision and consultation.
• Supervises staff in assessing social, emotional and economic causes of problem behavior and mental or emotional disorders and in developing and modifying treatment and approves alternative plans, termination or transfer of cases.
• Coordinates the assignment of cases and is responsible for assignment and reassignment of employee caseloads and providing clinic coverage when needed.
• Maintains a small caseload when needed or handles some of the more complex cases and maintains confidentiality of records in accordance with HIPPA standards.
• Participates in on-going community outreach and public relations activities.
• Provide supervision of all mental health services provided to adolescents and Transitional Aged Youth (TAY).
• Provide supervision for Child & Family Team Meetings (CFTs) and Team Decision Meetings (TDMs).
• Monitors clinical staff’s compliance with billing and productivity requirements.
• Ensures compliance with related federal, state, departmental and county policies and procedures.
• Evaluates work performance and assists in disciplinary proceedings.
• Participates in the establishment or revision of policies, procedures, guidelines, goals and objectives.
• Assists with program planning, implementation and evaluation activities.
• Supervises consultation and professional development activities of clinical staff (i.e., developing trainings, workshops, in-services, didactics).
• Responsible for providing crisis intervention as needed.
• Performs other related supervisory work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, and/or a behavioral science.
• Must be licensed as a LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.).
• If licensed as an LMFT or LCSW, must have been licensed at least two years in order to provide supervision.
• Must have at least three years of experience working in a professional clinical/ therapeutic setting and providing direct counseling to youth and families in such setting.
• Must be able to think critically in difficult situations and be able to engage in responsible and ethical decision making.
• Must pass a fingerprinted criminal history background check.
• Must pass a physical exam which includes a T.B. test and drug screening.

• Current theories, principles, and practices for services to youth with serious diagnoses, mental health and behavioral health care symptoms.
• Principles and practices of effective supervision, work planning, evaluation, training, and community behavioral health care consultation.
