Job summary

Intuitive seeks an MD physician innovator embedded in its Future Forward Incubator to translate clinical insights into new growth opportunities. The role identifies unmet clinical needs, evaluates strategic fit, and shapes technology concepts from hypothesis through early de-risking.

The candidate may come from strong clinical practice with exposure to innovation or from venture/startup backgrounds with an MD fluency to assess patient care and clinician workflows.

Qualifications

• MD physician with clinical practice experience or MD background with exposure to innovation, venture, startups, Biodesign, or product development.
• Experience translating clinical insights into concise need statements and opportunity hypotheses.
• Familiarity with venture/startup environments and corporate strategy concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify unmet clinical needs through clinical immersion, literature review, market sensing, and stakeholder input.
• Translate physician and patient insights into need statements, hypotheses, workflows, requirements, and de-risking plans.
• Evaluate early-stage opportunities for clinical importance, feasibility, strategic fit, adoption barriers, competitive landscape, and business impact.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to define clinical use cases, workflows, performance goals, and prototype feedback loops.
