Job summary

BelieveRx in Texas is seeking a Clinical Sterile Pharmacist to provide pharmacist-level oversight of sterile compounding operations, ensuring USP <797/><800> compliance and patient safety. You will train staff, review documentation, and support continuous process improvements in a compliant, transparent environment consistent with state rules.

This role requires hands-on presence in the cleanroom, meticulous record-keeping, and proactive collaboration with quality and inventory teams

Qualifications

ACPE Sterile Compounding Certification (minimum 20 hours).
Experience overseeing sterile and/or hazardous drug compounding.
Strong knowledge of USP <797>/<800> and Texas Board of Pharmacy rules.

Responsibilities

Provide pharmacist-level oversight of all sterile compounding activities on the production floor.
Ensure aseptic technique, garbing, and environmental controls are followed.
Be present to support technicians during compounding operations.

Position Summary

The Clinical Sterile Pharmacist provides pharmacist-level clinical oversight of sterile compounding operations at Believe Rx, delivering in-room support, real-time verification, staff training, and continuous process improvement to ensure USP <797/><800> compliance and consistent product quality and patient safety.

Minimum Qualifications

ACPE Sterile Compounding Certification (minimum 20 hours, pharmacist-level).
Demonstrated experience providing pharmacist oversight of sterile and/or hazardous drug compounding.
Strong working knowledge of USP <797/><800> and Texas Board of Pharmacy sterile compounding rules.
Experience training and evaluating pharmacy technician competency.

Regulatory & Policy Adherence

Provide pharmacist verification and oversight required under USP <797/><800> and Texas Board of Pharmacy rules.
Support inspection readiness for all sterile compounding operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide pharmacist-level oversight of all sterile compounding activities on the production floor.
Ensure aseptic technique, garbing, and environmental controls are followed consistently.
Be present and available in or near the cleanroom to support technicians during compounding operations.
Address in-the-moment questions, deviations, and process issues as they arise.

Staff Training and Competency

Deliver and evaluate sterile compounding training, including media fills and gloved fingertip/thumb testing.
Identify and support remediation needs for technicians and Lead Compounders.
Perform real-time verification of components, calculations, and compounding steps per policy.
Verify batch records and release documentation prior to escalation for final release.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve aseptic workflow, safety, and quality outcomes.
Partner with Clinical Operations and Quality & Inventory teams on corrective/preventive actions.

USP Compliance

Ensure ongoing compliance with USP <797/><800> requirements across compounding operations.
Support documentation and evidence needed for inspections and audits.

Performance Expectations

Zero unresolved compliance deviations tied to pharmacist oversight.
Consistent staff competency pass rates for media fills and fingertip/thumb testing.
Timely, complete real-time verification with no missed checks.
Documented contributions to measurable process improvements.
