Location: UC Health Business Center, Hybrid
Department: Medication Access Services, Pharmacy
Hours: Full-time, 40 Hours/Weekly
Shift: First Shift, Monday-Friday

UC Health is hiring a full-time Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the Medication Access Services department in Pharmacy Administration. We are offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus!

Under the supervision of the Manager of Medication Access Services, the Clinical Staff Pharmacist fills medication orders, monitors patient therapies, provides drug information, and supervises support staff. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the pharmacist may assume managerial responsibilities. The pharmacist collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, evidence-based medication therapy, ensuring patient-centered outcomes.

The Medication Access Services team helps patients access prescribed medications, including managing prior authorizations, across UC Health. Pharmacists work within this department and with other healthcare teams to optimize medication regimens and facilitate patient care.

Qualifications

Education: B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college required; PharmD preferred.

License and Certification: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio; ACLS preferred.

Experience: Minimum six months hospital pharmacy internship or experience; PGY1 residency preferred.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently, handle interruptions, prioritize, make critical decisions, communicate effectively, and meet patient care needs.
