  • Review, assess, verify, and process medication orders in accordance with established protocols, clinical guidelines, and computerized pharmacy systems
  • Provide clinical consultation, medication education, and evidence-based recommendations to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Perform clinical pharmacy functions that support departmental programs, promote optimal medication therapy, and ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, including data collection, performance monitoring, process evaluation, and implementation of improvement strategies
  • Coordinate and support the daily workflow of pharmacy technicians and clerical staff to promote efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
  • Assume appropriate departmental leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Clinical Pharmacist or Director of Pharmacy
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, orientation, training, and onboarding of pharmacy department staff
  • Provide safe, effective, and age-appropriate pharmaceutical care to patients across diverse populations and clinical settings
  • Maintain and expand clinical knowledge through continuing education, professional development, relevant training, and participation in professional organizations and affiliations
  • Participate in department, hospital, and interdisciplinary meetings and committees as assigned
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the pharmacy department and the hospital’s patient care objectives

Requirements

  • Current or eligible Washington State Pharmacist License required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
  • PGY1 or PGY2 residency-trained pharmacists are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to deliver age-specific pharmaceutical care
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment

This position offers a competitive base salary of $108,000–$195,500, based on experience and qualifications, along with a $10,000–$20,000 sign-on bonus, depending on experience level. Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance is also available for eligible candidates who need to relocate. In addition, the position offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the overall well-being of employees and their families.
