The role requires a Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology and a state license; experience with SNF populations is preferred. Travel may be needed; accurate documentation and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology and active state license.
• Experience in SNF settings and interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under a physician's direction, provide direct patient treatment based on an established plan of care.
• Screen and evaluate residents and develop appropriate care plans.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication.
• Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and practice new skills.
• Complete required forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• Maintain patient records accurately and timely.
• Devise special tools and treatments for patient needs.
