Job summary

Okeechobee SNF Operations, LLC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech and language problems in a skilled nursing facility setting. The role involves evaluating residents, planning and directing rehabilitative therapy, and ensuring documentation aligns with physician referrals.

The position requires a Master’s degree in SLP, state licensure, and CPR certification. You will collaborate with physicians and supervise CFYs per ASHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates residents/patients referred by physicians and develops a treatment program with functional goals.
  • Provides treatment as ordered and adjusts the program in consultation with the physician.
  • Contacts the physician for reports and care as needed; observes and reports patient responses to therapy.
  • Instructs, teaches, and supervises residents, patients, and family/caregivers on speech therapy procedures.
  • Participates in staff development and in-service education programs.
  • Supervises CFYs as per ASHA guidelines.
  • Adheres to standards of care, ethics, and policies; meets productivity expectations.
  • Completes timely clinical documentation including goals, progress, and therapeutic approach.
