Job summary

Providence Health and Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, AK. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, and coordinating speech-language services in collaboration with physicians, families and the care team.

The position is on-site, full-time (1.0 FTE) with day shifts; compensation includes a base pay range, shift differentials, on-call and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Alaska SLP License required upon hire.
• BLS via American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognition and swallowing disorders.
• Develop, coordinate and maintain speech-language pathology services with physicians, partners and families.
• Assist in direct patient care as part of a collaborative team.
• Adhere to standards and guidelines set by ASHA.

Speech Language Pathologist

Description: Evaluate and treat patients, check their communication, cognition and swallowing disorders. Develops, coordinates and maintains Speech Language Pathology services in collaboration with physicians, primary partners, and patient/family. Assists in direct patient care. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with standards and guidelines established by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Job Schedule: Full time, 1.0 FTE

Job Shift: Day shift, 40 hours per week

Other shifts available: Multiple shifts available

Pay Range: $46.81 - $72.66

Additional compensation: shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Hiring Bonus: $5,000 for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
