Job summary

Electromed, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Specialist with deep respiratory care knowledge to educate and support our sales teams and customers.

You will engage key opinion leaders, develop educational content, and deliver trainings and presentations across regions. The role requires 5+ years in respiratory care, current RT or RN license, willingness to travel up to 75% and live within one hour of a major international airport in the West or Pacific regions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years clinical experience in respiratory/pulmonary care.
  • Current state RT or RN license in good standing.
  • Clinical expert on airway clearance therapy and related devices.
  • Experience in clinical education and mentorship preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with KOLs through clinical engagement opportunities.
  • Manage regional KOL networks to promote peer-to-peer events and educational opportunities.
  • Deliver presentations in front of multiple external and internal stakeholders.
  • Influence account growth and development through clinical expertise and support.
  • Support national and regional medical meetings and conferences as needed.
  • Contribute to development and delivery of clinical education literature and presentations.
  • Provide direct clinical sales support to CAMs with disease state and airway clearance expertise.
  • Travel across a geography to join clinical area managers in field-calls and trainings.

The Opportunity:

The Clinical Specialist will possess strong clinical knowledge about respiratory care, have a passion for education, and be eager to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for supporting Electromed account growth through key opinion leader clinical engagement opportunities; development of educational content to support internal and external initiatives; fieldwork, support, and clinical development of sales team; clinical trainings; and delivery of presentations.

Job Outcomes Requirements:
  • 5+ years clinical experience in the field of respiratory/pulmonary care.
  • Current state RT or RN license in good standing.
  • Clinical expert on airway clearance therapy, high frequency chest wall oscillation, and the diseases and conditions which require such therapy.
  • Previous presentation development and/or skilled writing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in DME, sales, or sales support strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of pulmonary anatomy and physiology, airway clearance functions, and respiratory therapy equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical education and mentorship.
  • Highly adaptable to stakeholder needs and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a range of medical professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, and presenting to groups of all sizes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with strong team building skills.
  • Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must live within one hour of a major international airport within the West or Pacific regions.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% with an expectation of spending at least three weeks per month in the field alongside sales representatives, meeting with physicians, or attending industry events.

Compensation is comprised of base salary between $82,000-$110,000 plus quarterly incentives.
