The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus seeks a registered pharmacist to coordinate all aspects of patients’ pharmaceutical needs in patient-care areas. The role includes approving medication orders, ensuring correct dosing and regimen, and reviewing for drug interactions and allergies.

The pharmacist will supervise Pharm.D. students and participate in educational programs for hospital staff, and contribute to relevant committees within the department.

Qualificações

• Registered pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
• Board certified.
• Advanced degree (Pharm.D./MS) and residency preferred or equivalent experience.
• Or score a minimum of 40 points on Pharmacy’s Competency Based Advancement worksheet.

Responsabilidades

• Approve medication orders and verify chemotherapy notes.
• Ensure appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy.
• Review patient medication profiles for interactions and duplication of therapy.
• Supervise Pharm.D. students, technicians, and teaching activities.
• Participate in hospital committees relevant to the practice area.
