Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Clinical Specialist for Joint Replacement in Redmond, WA. You will train surgeons and OR staff on the Mako robotic-arm applications, assist with pre-operative CT planning, and support implant sizing and positioning. The role includes field-based account management, inventory control, and on-site demonstrations.

You will participate in after-hours on-call coverage, drive customer trust, and document events to improve product and processes. Travel about 30% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Aptitude in technical skills and technology systems (ERP, Office).

Responsibilities

• Train surgeons and OR staff on robotic arm operations, ensuring precise placement.
• Learn pre-operative CT software and assist with implant planning, sizing, positioning.
• Shadow and support account coordination; manage inventory and total case prep.
• Document and report surgery support events; provide feedback to improve products.
• Maintain locally consigned equipment, instruments, implants, and disposables inventories.
• Build relationships with customers through active account management and support.
• Provide timely, accurate complaint reports per quality system requirements.
• On-call duties after hours and on weekends/holidays to address urgent needs.
• Assist in product demos and lab logistics.
• Resolve product issues for customers promptly and professionally.

Work Flexibility: Field-based

As a Clinical Specialist for Joint Replacement at Stryker, you will help improve orthopedic surgeries around the world and help us achieve our mission of making healthcare better. In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping surgeons use Stryker’s Mako robot– our newest product used in robotic-arm assisted surgery. Acting as a helpful source for all things related to the Mako, you’ll deliver exceptional service while prioritizing customer needs in a fast-paced high volume clinical environment. You will think critically, and provide strategic solutions to enhance outcomes and drive trust in every interaction

What you will do

• Train surgeons and operating room staff in the operation of the company’s robotic arm applications, ensuring ideal placement and precision.
• Learn software for pre-operative CT scans and assist surgeons with implant planning, sizing, and positioning.
• Shadow and support daily account coordination, manage inventory, instrumentation, and complete total case preparation.
• Document and report surgery support and educational events, providing feedback to improve products, documentation, and methodologies.
• Maintain and control locally consigned equipment, instruments, implant, and disposables inventories.
• Build foundational relationships with customers through active participation in account management and support.
• Provide prompt and accurate complaint reports in compliance with quality system requirements.
• On-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as determined by territory needs, to address urgent technical needs and ensure continuous customer support.
• Assist in product demonstrations and lab logistics.
• Solve product problems for customers promptly and efficiently.

What you need:

Required:

• 4-year degree or equivalent
• Demonstrated aptitude in technical skills and technology systems and administrative procedures (e.g. ERP software, Office Suite, file processing and record management).

Preferred:

• 1 year relevant work experience
• Previous clinical experience; nursing, physical therapy, surgical techs, athletic training, personal trainers, medical scribes, etc.
• Extracurricular Involvement (community service, leadership organizations, athletic teams, etc.)

Additional Information

• This position requires the handling of instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or other bodily fluids. In compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Stryker will provide a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Fluency in written and spoken English required

• US15 : $80,168 - $95,800 USD Annual

Travel Percentage: 30%
