Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a Clinical Specialist I, CPT to provide technical clinical expertise and sales support for Chronic Pain Therapies. You will work with Territory Managers to integrate into accounts, build trust, and enhance customer education and product use.

The role requires a biomedical engineering background or equivalent and 1–2 years of clinical experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in biomedical engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 1–2 years’ work experience, with preference for clinical setting collaboration with patients.
• The ability to communicate, understand and educate clinical data in the Chronic Pain Therapies space.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communications across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical, clinical, and programming assistance to Territory Managers.
• Assist Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities.
• Builds trust and relationships with customers and accounts.
• Proficient in complex programming and case support.
• Travel up to 25% within and outside the region.
