Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

Our team is actively pipelining talented professionals for a forthcoming Clinical Specialist I, CPT in Memphis, TN. As a member of the clinical support team, you will be responsible for providing technical clinical expertise and support of the sales process to colleagues, current customers, and potential customers. You will work under general direction with clinical and sales teammates to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by creating competency, comfort, and expertise with all Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies among physicians, support staff, and customers within the assigned geography. The work involves a high degree of independence, requiring judgment in planning, organizing, and performing tasks. You will seek to continually improve territory efficiency.

What You’ll Work On
  • Providing technical, clinical, and programming assistance, primarily in support of 1-2 Territory Managers.
  • Assisting Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities.
  • Building trust and relationships with customers and integrating into all accounts.
  • Proficiency in complex programming and case support.
  • Supporting the sales team to increase selling time.
  • Fostering high-trust relationships with customers and regional team members.
  • Conducting PCP work and educational services as directed.
  • Engaging clients and potential clients in product discussions, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Providing medical professionals with sales support, information, training, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of accounts and competitor activity.
  • Developing sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and product information.
  • Providing feedback on device use directions in clinical settings.
  • Attending trade shows and conferences to stay updated on product developments.
  • Using clinical expertise to identify customer training needs and increase product usage.
  • Ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Providing sales support, training, and guidance to customers.
  • Maintaining positive communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, with travel up to 25% within and outside the region.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or technical certification; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ work experience, preferably collaborating with patients in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to understand and educate on clinical data related to Chronic Pain Therapies.
  • Strong clinical skills and excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication skills at multiple levels and with large groups.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Flexibility to work unpredictable schedules and manage tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage customers in selling conversations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Patient interaction experience in healthcare, such as Physical Therapy, medical product sales, RN, or LPN.
  • Experience in a cross-division business model or with Abbott in a similar setting.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with Abbott or in spinal cord stimulation or similar implantable devices.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
