Job summary

JWCH Institute, Inc in Los Angeles seeks an Associate Clinical Social Worker to deliver and coordinate mental health services for underserved populations. Under supervision, you will perform assessments, develop integrated care plans, and provide psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches to improve health outcomes.

Responsibilities include crisis response, case management, collaboration with primary care, and documentation in JWCH HER system.

Qualifications

• Clinical Social Work Registration with the BBS is required.
• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Experience working with low-income and/or homeless populations.
• Ability to understand trauma's impact on behavior and health.
• Experience with evidence-based short-term behavioral health interventions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ability to communicate across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services under supervision of LCSW/LMFT.
• Conduct functional assessments and document diagnoses.
• Develop integrated patient care plans with medical teams.
• Provide psychotherapy and psychoeducation using individual, family, and group modalities.
• Utilize short- and longer-term interventions targeting trauma and substance use.
• Provide intensive case management as indicated.
• Collaborate with primary care to integrate behavioral health needs.
• Coordinate care for specialty mental health services as needed.
• Advocate for patients to access appropriate care.
• Be available for crisis intervention during working hours.
