Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a compassionate Clinical Social Worker to provide vital social work services in a major health system. You will perform psychosocial assessments, interventions, referrals, and education while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

This per diem appointment may convert to a career, with emphasis on quality of care, ethics, and continuous improvement. LCSW eligibility and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or social welfare is required or eligible for license.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in CA or license-eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise with psychosocial assessments, clinical interventions, and treatment planning.
• Knowledge of Child Abuse, Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse, Neglect and Domestic Violence treatment, interventions, and reporting protocols.
• Commitment to patient- and family-centered care and cultural diversity.
• Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to participate in at least one area of specialized practice annually.
• Computer proficiency.

Post-masters social work experience in a healthcare setting, and Psychiatry Social Work and Emergency Department experience is preferred.
