Job summary

The State of Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services seeks a Clinical Social Worker 9-P11 to join a multidisciplinary treatment team at Walter P. Reuther Psychiatric Hospital in the Detroit area.

Newly hired staff will follow orientation and may work across Southeast Michigan facilities in Northville and Westland as operations consolidate. Requires a master's degree in social work and Michigan social work registration or eligibility.

Individuals in this CSW 9-P11 classification function as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. This position provides a variety of professional clinical social work services involving; case management, completing psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, individual and group therapy and discharge planning to patients with severe psychiatric disorders at Walter P. Reuther Psychiatric Hospital.

The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing.

Newly Hired Staff will complete orientation at the Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital 18471 Haggerty Rd Northville, MI 48168. Upon completion of orientation, they may report to and work at the Walter Reuther Psychiatric Hospital 30901 Palmer Rd. Westland, MI 48186. All staff and operations will move to the Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital in October.

Education

Possession of a master's degree in social work.

Experience

Clinical Social Worker 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Clinical Social Worker 10

One year of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 9.

Clinical Social Worker P11

Two years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker, including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 10. Registration as a social worker by the Michigan Board of Examiners of Social Workers.
