Responsibilities

Individuals in this CSW 9-P11 classification function as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. This position provides a variety of professional clinical social work services involving; case management, completing psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, individual and group therapy and discharge planning to patients with severe psychiatric disorders at Walter P. Reuther Psychiatric Hospital.

Pre-employment Testing

The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing.

Education

Possession of a master's degree in social work.

Experience

• Clinical Social Worker 9: No specific type or amount is required.
• Clinical Social Worker 10: One year of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 9.
• Clinical Social Worker P11: Two years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker, including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 10. Registration as a social worker by the Michigan Board of Examiners of Social Workers.
