Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications for a 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work to begin January 2027 (preferred) or August 2027. The successful candidate will teach core and elective undergraduate Social Work courses, with emphasis on practice courses, and will participate in advising online and on-campus students while supporting accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• MSW from a CSWE-accredited program or doctoral-level degree required
• Two years post-MSW full-time social work practice
• LMSW or LICSW preferred
• Experience teaching online and on-campus courses preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach core and elective undergraduate Social Work courses, especially practice courses
• Maintain a productive community-involvement agenda
• Lead retention and recruitment efforts
• Provide professional advising for online and on-campus students
• Assist with maintaining program accreditation and contribute to service mission of the campus
