Job summary

Miami University seeks an Assistant Clinical Professor (non-tenure track) in the Department of Family Science and Social Work. This teaching-intensive role involves delivering graduate and undergraduate social work courses on the Oxford and regional campuses, advising students, and contributing to service at multiple levels.

Starting August 2027, with potential for promotion. The position requires a Doctorate in Social Work or a Master’s in Social Work plus 5 years of post-master’s practice;

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Social Work or Master’s in Social Work with 5+ years post-master’s practice experience.
• Teaching experience in higher education is a plus; knowledge of Canvas LMS; trauma-responsive assessment/intervention.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate social work courses on Oxford and regional campuses.
• Advise students and participate in departmental, College, and University service.
• Engage in professional discipline activities and perform other duties as assigned.
