Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Social Work Assistant to provide psychosocial services across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients within our hospital network.

Under supervision, you will perform psychosocial assessments, maintain knowledge of development across populations, uphold NASW ethics and hospital policies, and support patients, families, and staff as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
• Minimum of two field placements from an accredited School of Social Work in a clinical setting.
• Licensure not applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop a full psychosocial assessment responsive to the Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients/families/staff needs and concerns.
• Maintain and enhance knowledge of growth and development of the Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations through educational opportunities and meet expectations set forth by Hospital and departmental standards.
• Accountable for following hospital/department policy and procedures, NASW code of ethics and any other Hospital governmental and/or regulatory policies, rules or regulations.
