Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Clinical Social Worker I to serve as the clinical expert in assessment and treatment of patients and families across inpatient and ambulatory settings within the system.

The role includes diagnostic assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, brief treatment, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation, with collaboration across health care teams. CT/RI licensure pathways and supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work.
• Connecticut: 3,000 hours post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision. Rhode Island: 24 months of experience licensed as an LICSW with supervision.
• Licensed in CT (LCSW) or RI (LICSW); endorsement and meeting CT/RI licensure requirements for other states.

Responsibilities

• Licensed Social Work Clinical Practice - interact professionally with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Professional Development - maintain and enhance knowledge per licensure and departmental standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams and provide clinical assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, brief treatment, crisis intervention, and mentoring as assigned.
