Job summary

Springfield Technical Community College seeks a Simulation Specialist II to support the School of Health and Patient Simulation. You will design and build clinical simulations, align objectives to the competency model, and help faculty create dynamic patient scenarios.

You will set up labs, test equipment, schedule rooms, and assist learners during simulations, ensuring safety and smooth operation across SPHs events.

Qualifications

• Certification/Licensed as a Healthcare Provider (EMT, Paramedic, RN, LPN or comparable).
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare field.
• Knowledge of equipment and materials used in a patient simulation learning center.
• Able to learn new technologies and work in a dynamic environment.
• Web software experience.
• Polished interpersonal and verbal/written skills.
• Ability to supervise staff, including planning and assigning work.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with designing and building Clinical Simulation content using SMC tools.
• Translate faculty learning objectives into the SMC competency model.
• Collaborate with faculty to facilitate dynamic patient simulations.
• Set up rooms with cameras, laptops, and software for simulations.
• Test equipment and coordinate with IT for maintenance.
• Develop and maintain SMC website materials and online resources.
• Schedule simulation rooms and maintain the master calendar.
• Provide assistance to students and faculty during simulations.
• Supervise staff and ensure equipment availability and safety.
